Dealing With Emotions

It's very easy to get carried away with our emotions when situations surrounding us do not seem to spare us a thought... However, we all know that it's best not to say, think or do anything when our emotions are getting the better of us. We are likely to regret whatever we say, think or do... if we do not first calm ourselves down.

If you can handle your emotions, you are likely to make better decisions, become more focused, avoid unnecessary troubles and lead a more meaningful and happy life.

Emotions are like the readings (mercury in motion) from a thermometer, showing us what we're facing within us. We need to read them and interpret the readings like how we do so for our body temperature. If we find our body temperature too high, we would need to find a way to bring that down. Similarly, after interpreting what our emotions mean, we would need to decide on the appropriate course of action to restore equilibrium to maintain a healthy spirit, soul, mind and body.

Emotions need to be regulated like how our body temperature would need to be regulated. Here, I'll share with you one highly effective way to deal with negative emotions.

You can do this anywhere. Breathe in slowly and deeply and receive patience, kindness, peace and everything good... Breathe out all the negative emotions, fears, anxieties, doubts and everything that's senseless and not good... Repeat this process until you're calm.

You can apply this to anything, not just dealing with emotions, but also to clarifying what you want, and don't want etc.
